The Restaurant

In the heart of Florence and opening onto the magnificent Piazza della Repubblica is the “Pesce Rosso Restaurant”, a unique and exclusive restaurant that aims at becoming a reference point for the lovers of fish food in the historical centre of town.

Very high quality ingredients, fresh fish only, a simple and elegant setting are the distinguishing elements of this restaurant that is one of a kind. It was born after the success of the historical “Le Giubbe Rosse” literary cafe.

Absolute Quality

The Pesce Rosso Restaurant has a menu with a broad range of dishes that change from week to week, giving customers the best the sea and the seasons can offer. Many dishes have shellfish, such as the excellent European lobster of the western Mediterranean Sea. Classic Tuscan fish dishes, such as cacciucco (fish stew) and baccalà alla livornese (dried salt-cured cod), are served.

History

The old door and the walls on the corner were, paradoxically, preserved when the building was extended, possibly when the lines of the ‘father’ of the Italian language did not have the power they have today.
